Vodafone India Cuts 2G Data Rates By 80 Percent!

Vodafone India has announced an 80 percent price but in tariffs of
all its prepaid and postpaid customers using 2G network on a "Pay As
You Go" basis.

The company claims that via rate cut- from existing 10p/10KM to new
2p/10KB will make internet access affordable for customers who use
mobile internet in a limited way.

These new rates are currently applicable to all Vodafone customers
in Karnataka, UP West and Madhya Prdesh/ Chhattisgarh circles and will
be rolled out nationally in a phased manner.

Most of the mobile internet use Data Packs for Mobile Internet. Lets
see what Vodafone get from this initiative.

TRAI Allows Conditional Free Roaming From July 1

Telecom Regulator TRAI announced reduction in National Roaming
Charges for Mobile but said there will be no Free Roaming as of now.

The regulator also come out with conditional Free Roaming Plans that
will bring down cellphone roaming charges.

TRAI prescribed Re.1/min for Local Outgoing Call, Rs. 1.5/min for STD
Outgoing Calls. Incoming Calls will be charged at 75p/Min.

Outgoing Local SMS will be charged at Re.1/SMS and Outgoing STD SMS
will be charged at Rs 1.5/SMS. Incoming SMS will remain free of
charge.

TRAI has mandated the service providers to offer special plans for
roaming subscribers in which they can avail partially free roaming or
completely free roaming by paying a fixed charges.

Apple To Release USD 99 Cheaper iPhone?

Perhaps Apple is feeling the blow from Samsung and how it is spamming
the market with a huge range of smartphones of different price, size
and specs etc. According to reliable sources, Apple currently has
several projects in hand with regards to the iPhone- an affordable
iPhone, a larger iPhone and ofcourse, the next generation iPhone that
might be called the iPhone 5s.

These rumours are not new about the cheaper iPhone. According to
Reuters, there will be lot of color options and will retail $99 to
$149. While regular iPhones are manufactured by Foxconn, via low-cost
iPhone will be assemble by Pegatron.

Apple is also reported to be working on a larger option with screen
size of 4.7 inch or 5.7 inch. Reuters also mentioned that an iPhone 5S
is due for a release later this year and will include a fingerprint
sensor.

Opera Mini 4.5 Released: Download Now!

Opera Software has released Opera Mini 4.5, the updated version of
its mobile browser for feature sinner that support Java Apps.

The updated version brings a refreshed look and feel. The browser now
comes with a Download Manager through which users can Pause, Resume
and Manage their downloads.

The browser also Offers a privacy node that allows users to browse te
web without storing details form and browsing history, users can also
open a new private tab for the same.
