RIM launched BlackBerry Curve 9220 in India

Smart phone maker Research In Motion (RIM) globally launched BlackBerry Curve 9220 at an event in New Delhi on Appril 18. The phone was unveiled by Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif.

Some features of this phone are: BlackBerry Os 7.1, 2.44 inch display with 320x240 px resolution, Full QWERTY Keypad, 2MP rear camera, WiFi, Stereo FM Radio with RDS.

The phone has dedicated BlackBerry Messanger (BBM) key. FM Radio, the rare feature in BlackBerry phones also comes preloaded with this phone. But it does not have 3G or GPS Receiver.

The phone is priced at Rs. 10,990 and will be available in four colours: black, teal, fuchsia pink and pure white from April 19 in India. RIM said that shipment of phones is already started.
